Easter at Warfield Church

Easter is such an important time in the Christian calendar when we remember Christ's suffering and sacrifice for us, but then we can celebrate his wonderful resurrection which brought us life.

Maundy Thursday

On Maundy Thursday we remember how Jesus had a meal with His disciples and then washed their feet as an act of extraordinary humility before He went to pray in the garden of Gethsemane, where he was later betrayed and arrested.

This year our young people will be sharing a Maundy Thursday meal from 6 - 7.30pm in the Parish Rooms.

A number of the other churches in the Bracknell Deanery are holding Maundy Thursday services which we are warmly welcomed to attend.  Details of some of them are:

Good Friday

On Good Friday we remember that Jesus died on the cross.  It was a dreadful day, and we are right to remember it.

We will have two services on Good Friday, as shown below.

Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday we celebrate the glorious resurrection of Jesus from the dead, joyfully using the Easter acclamation: "Christ is risen: He is risen indeed, alleluia."

Some of the churches in the Bracknell Deanery will be holding Easter Sunrise services, which we are warmly invited to attend.  Details of some of them are:

Then, at Warfield Church, we will have two services, both with Holy Communion; one at 8.30am at St Andrew's, Priestwood, RG42 1TU, and one at 10.30am at St Michael's, Church Lane, Warfield, RG42 6EE, where all three of our congregations will be TOGETHER.
