PCC - Introduction
The Parochial Church Council, or PCC, has responsibility for good governance in any Church of England parish. The full name of our PCC is 'The Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish of Warfield', and it is a registered charity in England and Wales, Charity No. 1129301. Members of the PCC are the Charitable Trustees for Warfield Church, and the together they hold a number of legal responsibilities.
At Warfield Church, we elect four PCC members at each APCM, to serve a 3-year term. It’s important that we have representatives from across all our congregations - Warfield Church North (WCN), Warfield Church West (WCW), Warfield Church East (WCE) and St Andrew's. Anyone can be on the PCC who
-
is at least sixteen years of age;
-
is an actual communicant;
-
has been on the Electoral Roll of the Parish for at least six months.
There is a document below, "Introduction to PCC and Deanery Synod", which gives you lots of information about the PCC, what it is, what it does etc. Nomination forms for election as a member of the PCC or the Deanery Synod can also be found below.
