Giving at Warfield Church

The greatest way in which Jesus showed his love for the world was in his sacrificial death on the cross, and his rising to new life. Because of his death and resurrection, every one of us can find new life in him. This is such good news that we want to share it, and enable every single person to know and experience the transformational love of Jesus in their own lives.

As we respond to the love of Jesus and choose to live our lives for and with him, he calls us to live generously out of all that he has given to us. He calls us to give our time to serve him and others; to be part of His local church so we can grow more like Him; and to give financially out of all that he has given to us.

We give generously as part of our worship to God, and the result is that mission happens, ministries are supported, needs are met, society is blessed, and others encounter Jesus. As a church, we want to see more and more of this happening here in Warfield and across Bracknell.

Ways to Give

We are grateful for all gifts received whether regularly through bank accounts, one-off gifts or in the offerings given Sunday by Sunday. We encourage everyone to consider prayerfully how much they should give to God’s work and to give regularly. Regular giving means that the PCC can budget more accurately and helps our cash flow.

Parish Giving Scheme

Warfield Church uses the Parish Giving Scheme, which automatically credits Warfield Church the amount plus any associated Gift Aid on a monthly basis. This reduces our administrative burden, and improves our cash flow. Details of the scheme are available here: https://www.parishgivingscheme.org.uk/for-donors/. You can sign up to the scheme online or by phone, and a monthly, quarterly or annual debit is taken by Direct Debit from your bank.

You will also be asked if you are eligible to Gift Aid your donation and if you wish to increase your gift annually by inflation.

To sign up online you can use the following link: Warfield Church - Parish Giving Scheme

To sign up by phone, call the dedicated sign-up line on 0333 002 1271. You will need your personal bank account details and the name and PGS code for St Michael’s, Warfield: 270627337

If you already give through PGS and would like to change the amount you give, you can now do this online by going to https://www.parishgiving.org.uk/my-pgs/ and activating your account.

One-Off Donations

If you want to make a one-off donation and are a taxpayer then please ensure that you have completed a Gift Aid Form if you have not done so in the past. The form is available here.
Warfield Church can then claim 25% of your donation from HMRC. Payment can be made by cheque (made out to ‘Warfield PCC’ and sent to the church office) or BACS transfer.

(Some people have had problems when making donations as some banks require the full name of the account, which is 'The Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish of Warfield'. This doesn't seem to be a problem with all banks)

Taxpayers should make payments to:
Warfield PCC Gift Aid Account
Sort Code 40-13-10
Account Number 90839361

Non-taxpayers should make payments to:
Warfield PCC BMM2 Account
Sort Code 40-13-10
Account Number 81395696

Other Ways to Give Regularly

We understand that the Parish Giving Scheme is not suitable for some people and you may prefer to give by Standing Order. Taxpayers can set up standing orders into the Warfield PCC Gift Aid account whose details are given above (Sort code 40-13-10, Account number 90839361). Please fill in a Gift Aid Form (available here) and return to accounts@warfield.org.uk or the church office.

If you are not a taxpayer, donations should be paid into the Warfield PCC BMM2 account (Sort code 40-13-10, Account number 81395696).
